Towards Adventure provide all safety and group equipment. The use of personal helmets, harness and mountains bikes is encouraged, if they are deemed suitable by the instructor of the session.
Having the right personal equipment will enhance your enjoyment of the day. In particular the choice of clothing is important to your safety, as a guide we recommend on all activities:
For all mountain bike courses long sleeve tops and long trousers are required for safety. The use of appropriate pads is a suitable alternative.
Footwear:
A small rucksack is useful to carry lunch and warm drink on all activities.
For more advanced courses a detailed equipment list will be provided.
Towards Adventure reserves the right to change times and locations of activities for reasons of safety, before the activity commences (or during if necessary). Whilst we try to work with the conditions that nature throws at us, in some situations the worst of the weather may be avoided by small route or location changes. We want you to get the best out of your time with us so if necessary exact locations for your chosen activity may change at short notice. We will inform you of any change of location as soon as possible. Of course some times the rain is simply unavoidable!
Towards Adventure have a clear payment policy. 50% of the total cost must be paid to confirm your booking. The remaining cost must be paid on the first day before the activity commences. In the case of a cancellation if notice given 28 days before the first day of activity, clients will receive all of their deposit back, excluding administration costs. Notice not less than 14 days from first day of activity clients will receive half of the total deposit back, excluding administration costs. Under 14 days the deposit will not be returned.
Unless stated on the course description we do not provide accommodation, transport, food and personal equipment. We will provide advice with any of these if required.
